HIGASHIYA 10th Anniversary with Limited Edition Sweets “Ichigo Ichie”
Artist Mai Miyake produced “Once in a lifetime encounter” partners up with HIGASHIYA for series no. 1 to limitedly appear from June 18th to July 18th. White bite sized sweets based on sweetened white bean paste wraps green smooth bean paste together with one green pea. To associate with June familiarized as the month of minatsuki or water, the scrolled package images water puddles and is processed with punching and illustrations of ants standing for hard workers who plant rice amidst this season. It is a message of gratitude “Ant (ari) × ten (gato)= Thank you” for hard-working farmers.
