RINN＋Fabric
Arflex Japan will host RINN + Fabric: RINN Chair plus Five Creators Exhibition at Arflex Shop Tokyo from Thursday November 1 through Tuesday November 6, 2012.
Last year Arflex launched the RINN Chair to much acclaim. This year, producer Taiji FUJIMORI, the designer of RINN, has asked five designers in the fields of interior design, fashion, graphic arts and visual arts with a deep knowledge of fabrics to design seat covers for the RINN Chair. The five creators (in alphabetical order) are Yoko Ando, Kimiyoshi Futori, Mai Miyake, minä perhonen, and spoken words project. The exhibition will explore new approaches to demonstrating the transformational potential and other possibilities for fabrics in interior design, with each designer expressing their unique and individual world-views through the medium of the chair. Works exhibited during the above period will be available for sale. Visitors to the exhibition will receive a commemorative booklet.
